West Coast Swing workshops and dancing with James McLauchlan - Sat 1st Aug James McLauchlan will be coming back to Belfast for another set of West Coast Swing workshops and a party night in Windsor Lawn Tennis Club on Saturday the 1st of August. Last time we had James over he give an improvers' WCS class which everybody agreed was brilliant. So we have arranged to bring James back. WCS is a smooth dance which is danced to modern pop music - singers like Gaelle, Lisa Shaw, Akon, Justin Timberlake, Duffy, Jennifer Lopez and Chris Brown. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkcHzqr8a34 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To9OoCcQZkI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fXulOk14D4 James McLauchlan has been dancing for more than 15 years and quickly fell in love with the couples dance. He started competing and winning titles all over the world including Scotland, Ireland, England, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Washington, New York and a world championship in Nashville. James has been teaching different types of dance for nearly 12 years, including west coast swing, east coast swing, night club two-step, country two-step, polka, american smooth, hip-hop, line dance, keep fit and aerobics. We will be running two workshops on Saturday 1st August at beginner and improver level. 7:00 to 8:30pm - WCS Improves (aimed at those who have learnt the basics) 8:30 to 9:30pm - WCS beginners (no previous knowledge required) 10:00 to 1:00am - WCS Dancing Costs: £5 - Beginners workshop + access to the party (WCS, Salsa and Tango) £10 - Beginners & Improves workshops + access to the party (WCS, Salsa and Tango) The workshops will be running parallel with our monthly salsa night. So the tickets will include access to the salsa party.
