New Jive/Swing classes start tonight in Hill's Hello swingers! Just a reminder for today's swing classes starting in Hill's tonight (tuesday). We have a lovely venue with split floors and - yes - mirrors. The classes are suitable for complete beginners and you don't need a partner. An improvers' lindy hop class will run from 8.30pm. These are new classes kicking off so your support would be really appreciated. See below for more details. Catch you on the dance floor soon! Richard and Victoria 7pm Beginners Jive and East Coast Swing Drop-in Class It doesn't matter if you've never danced before - this fun and easy class will start from scratch and introduce you to the basics of jive and East Coast Swing. No partner required! 8-8.30pm Practice Session You didn't get it in the class? Then stick around to practice with the other students or ask the teachers for a bit of one-on-one feedback. 8.30-9.30pm Improvers Class You know the basics and you're ready for more. This class will help to consolidate what you already know, focusing on rhythm, musicality and connection to improve your technique. You should be comfortable with 6-beat rhythms and 8-beat swingouts. 9.30pm til late Social Dancing Put your new moves to good use on the dance floor. Social dancing is the best practice there is, so take a deep breath and jump right in.
