Just a quick reminder that there will be no West Coast Swing tonight (Wednesday 28th) as our venue is booked up tonight. We are also breaking for April for Easter and we'll back for another set of classes in May.

Just a quick reminder that we are running a set of improver's WCS classes on Wednesday night, over the next three weeks, (14th/21st/28th March).
These three weeks, since you have mastered the basics so well, we will concentrate on moves that differentiate WCS as a dance form. We will be working on lead and follow, stretches and catching the breaks in the music.
Windsor Tennis Club, 8-9pm, Wednesdays.

Just a reminder that Lee Easton will be over the 15th June, this Wednesday, for a West Coast Swing Class at the Windsor Tennis Club, Windsor Avenue, from 9-10pm.

We have had to reschedule Lee's visit from the 18th until the 15th of June due to him losing his passport whilst in the US. He has just got back to the UK and will not be able to get a new one in time for his trip to Belfast. So he will now be coming on Wed 15th of June.

The class at the City Church has now ended. A new set of beginners will be starting on Wednesday 29th April. The time will be the same 9 to 10pm. In the mean time I would like to setup an 'improvers' classes and I would like to take a poll of what nights suit most people for the class. If you had the choice between Tuesday or a Wednesday which would suit better?

Great news, Jessica Peel Yates is returning to teach on Saturday 11th November.
The workshops and club will be held in The Errigle, Ormeau Road, Belfast.
Classes will be held in the Arbele Room as follows:
2 - 3pm : Beginners 6 Beat Swing
3.30 - 4.40pm : Beginners 8 Beat Swing
Classes are £5 each.
The Rhythm Room will run from 10pm in the Marble Cedar Room, door charge £3.

Just a quick update regarding the classes and club on Saturday 9th September.
The classes will focus on two styles of swing dancing;
1-2.30 : East Coast Swing - a fun introduction to swing using 6 beat music, which inspired the Rock'n'Roll jive
3-4.30 : Lindy Hop Swing - the original swing dance to 8 beat music taking it's inspiration from the 1920's Charleston

Just a quick update on what's happening on the Lindy scene.
SwingBelfast will host Lindy workshops on Saturday 9th September from 1-5pm in the Crescent Arts Centre, University Road, Belfast. Jessica Peel Yates (see info below) has agreed to return to Belfast to teach these workshops and, as always, we appreciate her help and continued support.
